Sweet Blog Award

Two really nice blogs gave us this award which we are truly thrilled to have now.

The cute kitties over at The kwee kitties were so nice to remember us.

Also the kitties called Lars and James also gave us the award, so we are doubly happy

Now, we are supposed to tell six or seven things about ourselves, so Mom has picked six of us to talk about.

This silly Little Miss BG even tried to eat the Blueberries Mom just picked. It is the only thing that we have seen that she won't eat.

I am trying to talk to Mom here. I have a very loud Meow and at 3A.M. I let her know it is time for me to come in the house since I am extremely hungry. She always knows that it is me.

BB here and I just love my fishie. I spend the day walking around with it in my mouth just a talking to it. It talks back to me too. Also, when I was a young cat and went to have my lady surgery, they found a BB in my belleh. Someone had evidently shot me before Mom moved here.

Hi there, Girl Kitty here on the leopard blankie. I was the very first kitty to move in here. I sat in the backyard where Mom could see me from her kitchen window so she would come out and feed me and she did. So I have been here for ten years and I am the least tame of any one.

Hi there, Mewmew here, I am Mom's miracle kitty. I arrived here the day after her last chemo treatment. I was a tiny little kitten all matted and very wild. But she was wishing for a kitten, and here I came. It was just meant to be.

Hi there Momma kitty here. I am the Mom to Orange boy, Splitters, and Gertrude, and also Ohs, Tees and Bees. It only took the human 2 years to catch me and fix me up. No one will ever touch me again. I am the perfect example of the feral cat.

So we thank the Kwee cats and Lars and James for this award. We feel like a lot of people have been given this award, so we would like for you to grab the award if you would like to have it.

Hi there, Khaki here. Our Mom, Assistatant is always telling us to do something cute so she can take the silly pictures. So she says she wants a tommeh picture. I guess this isn't good enough for a good ole tummeh picture.

So Missy Assistant, is this good enough for ya. At least I look super cute.

Goat soap giveaway

Hi there, Pricilla here. I have my own blog Pricilla Speaks where you can see all kinds of pictures of me and all my grandchildren. It is such a fun blog.

Anyway, Marg is having a give away of some of the soap that is made here on our Happy Goat farm so we thought we would tell you a little about how it is made. First of all us lady goats get milked. Then our Mom who is called the Publicist, freezes the milk she is going to use for soap. When it is time to make the soap, she gets the frozen milk out and thaws it a little bit.

After the milk becomes a little slushy, she adds the lye. This makes the mild turn a really weird yello/green color. By the time it is ready to use, it has turned orange and looks like a blob.

Then she measures out her super secret recipe of fats and oils and puts them in her big soap pot and melts them.

Then she adds the milk/lye blog and mixes it with her stick blender until it gets nic and smooth.

This is called 'trace' at which point it is time to strain it and add the fragrance oil and pour it into the molds.

The molds will rest over night and then the publiscist will pop the soaps out of the molds and let them cure for a month.

They have all kinds of scents and shapes now.

So, we are giving away three bars of soap made from goat's milk. This soap is terrific. Our Mom, Marg has used it and some of her friends really like it.
