Hi there, Spitters here. What is that thing anyway. It sure doesn't look like anything that belongs outside with us. And why are you waving it around Mom? Poor Mom, she is loosing her marbles little by little.

I get it, we are supposed to try and catch that silly looking spider. I will catch that funny red bug.
I was caught as a tiny little kitten and so I am pretty tame but like the others, I am not used to strangers. But I bet I could get used to them if I was taken on the house and could be around different people.

Tabby Thursday and an award too

Hi there, Mew Mew here and I am on a mission. I am not telling what my mission is, but it might have something to do with food. Good to see all of you.

Thank COD, we got this award from three different kitties and doggies. And we say that because our Person is speedily eating all the cupcakes. And just look at those cute faces, how could anyone eat them.
We have to thank our great friends over at Whisppy gave us this yummy award and we appreciate it a whole bunch. Tutu, that was so nice of you to leave some for us.
Also, our good friends Oui Oui,MMM, Julie and Carl gave us some nice cupcakes too. Wow, our Mom is going to gain 10 pounds but we love the award. We don't understand why we can't eat those cupcakes. Guess we are just supposed to look at them and it is a pretty award.
Also, our new friend Sheba gave us some more cupcakes which is so fine with us. Maybe we will get some of these.
I think we are supposed to give this to five kitties, but it seems like a lot of you already have it. Besides there are not many cupcakes left.
Hope all have a terrific day.

A good friend of ours gave us a heater for the house and Two Two was sure it was her job to destroy the box.

Looks like she is doing a mighty good job.
Hope all are having a great day.

Jamie still needs a few rides on his trip to Florida.

Feral Cat Day

Hi there, Khaki here trying to get the Neko Fly. So we know yesterday was Blog the Change and of course we did Feral cats and now today is Feral Cat day which is very exciting for our Mom. Two days in a row to talk about the feral kitties.
These two cats Khaki and Spitter behind him are brothers and were born to a feral cat mom, who abandoned them. So of coure the Person just had to take them in. The four kittens from that litter are all fairly tame for the Mom but of course they run when a stranger comes. Mom here, and I feel like these two could live somewhere else with someone that was very patient.

I came really close to getting that Neko Fly deal. Another thing that is such good news is that we are hearing about more and more TNR programs around the world. The TNR is to Trap the kitty, take them to be neutered or spayed and then returned to where they were living. These four kittens were so little, it was easy to get them. And the place where they were found did not want any more cats, so they buy our food for us.
I found another blog yesterday where they have people that get together to do the TNR which is just wonderful. Take a look TNR Blog
Please don't forget to get your kitties spayed and neutered and the good news is that there are tons of Low-cost spay and neuter clinics popping up. We even have one here in our town.
Hope everyone has such a great day.

The two subjects that our Mom loves to talk about and try to do something about is the feral cats everywhere. We have taken in some here where we live and have discovered that if you get the feral cats when they are very young, almost before they are weaned, they are not hard to tame at all. But a feral cat should never be taken to a shelter. They will be so scared, that no one will want them. So shelters usually just euthanize them.

Hi there, Mahoney here, and I am so very young here. I had just been captured and enjoying some food. The Person did not know when she captured our Mom that there were kittens under the house. I am very tame around our Person but am scared of strangers and that is because we don't have many visitors and everyone else runs, so I guess it is a good idea.

And here I am all grown up. I do love to play with toys and not a whole lot scares me, when people come, I just have to go hide under the bed.

Hi there Maggie here when the Person was trying to get me in the carrier to take me home after a visit at the vets. That brings up the next subject that our Person loves to talk about and that is to please everyone, spay and neuter your pets. It is so important.

Hi there, Maggie here and just look at how much I have changed. Also I am a very sweet and nice cat and very tame for a feral gal. The main thing is that I am Mahoney's Mom and just prove that a feral cat can be tamed. I just need some more socializing as far as people go.
