We have guests.

Hi there our names are Joe and Mr. Gun Smoke and we are the two resident miniature donkeys here.  We usually have the run of this place along with the one goat and can go anywhere we darn please.  Then last Sunday, here comes this horse trailer into our front pasture.  Our mom had already closedthe gate so we couldn't get into the front pasture.  We couldn't figure that one out.

Anyway, two horses climb right out of the horse trailer.. So of course we wanted to know what is going on.  So it seems that there is a lot of grass in the front and we are not eating enough of it so she told a friend of hers that she could bring her two horses over to eat the grass. Well the gal that owns the horses was very pleased because she wanted to get her two horses off her pasture to give it a rest.

Can you tell how small I am compared to that big horse

Anyway, this was all very exciting because we really wanted to meet these two guests.  But our mean Mom wouldn't let us go out with the two horses, one reason being that they are 10 times our size. The other reason is that one of the horses is a little bossy and Mom didn't want us to get hurt.  We spent two days staring at each other because the two horses couldn't figure out our long ears and we couldn't figure what they were doing in our pasture. Anyway, we are still annoyed.

Well, Joe and Gun Smoke, we'd be annoyed too! Imagine that, eating your grass! How unfair is that? Granted, the horses are lovely--well, the one bay we can see!--but still....Maybe, though, you'll make friends and be able to go out together. Or not. You two *are* pretty tiny by comparison!

P.S. Our humans wants more info on the horses--breed, names, etc. :-)

P.P.S. Your mom gives you all the greatest names! :-))

Wow what an interesting couple of days! And boy, you are quite a bit smaller then those horses - and we think a LOT cuter!!

Joe and Mr Gun Smoke, you guys are adorable. What lovely guests you have. I hope they don't keep you from your pasture for too long.

I think it's probably best that you aren't out there with those giant horses. They could accidentally trample a little donkey.

Yes, you certainly get a good perspective of the size difference there. You guys are so small and cute! I'm glad your mama is taking precautions to keep you safe.

It's wonderful of her to share her pasture with her neighbour's horses, too. So very kind.

We'd be annoyed too if those two big giants came to visit us. But we bet they were very jealous of how cute you two are!

Oh my goodness!!!!!! Joe and Mr Gun Smoke - you two are just too too too cute and tiny!!! I never realised how tiny your both are until those big horses came along!! Aren't they magnificent? Me and Charlie hope that you both are no longer annoyed and that you have the run of your pasture again!! We hope that these lovely horses visit soon too! Take care x

Gosh! We've never seen creatures like you before! You look like little horses but with vishus deer ears! You're not related to vishus deers are you?

I think you should be annoyed that they moved into your pasture and are eating your grass! You'd have gotten around to eating yourselves eventually, right? Well, hopefully they're polite guests and you'll have some fun visiting with them!

Aren't the horses afraid of you? Photoguy tells us that when he traveled the coutry with a mule most horses where scared of it.

And about our kittens: we have ten, but they are divided between two boxes. And because the moms keep taking kittens from each others boxes there are never the same (amount of) kittens in each box.

I don't blame you for being annoyed! If my human brought home visitors, say, a couple of big kitties - or worse yet, dogs - and let them hang out in a part of MY house, I would be pretty annoyed too.

Horses!!??! My goodness! Well at least they aren't staying forever! But they are beautiful, and it's real nice of your mommy to let them eat the grass.

Love the little donkey's they look so cute. Now because I'm pretty clueless about animals, I need to ask. Why does one have donkeys? I mean I know people ride and sometimes compete with horses; and I know some horses are work animals; but I'm wondering about the goats?

I've heard of people using goat milk during the depression; is that still done?

You two sound like kitties talking about introoders, and it made our mewmie smile. You are sooo cute and that is quite a handsome horse, too. Don't worry, sounds like they are just giving their pasture a vacation and will go back home soon...
