A big thanks to Romeo

Hi there, my name is Split and I am examining the wonderful things that Romeo sent to us. There is a wonderful FURminator which the Mom has used on almost everyone. We are all hairless now. Just kidding but it really does help a lot with the extra hair. It is wonderful for the dogs. And she used it on one of the long haired cats but we doubt that Mewmew who has long hair will let her use it on her. She will need extra gloves and shirts to do that.

We also got a shirt in the wonderful box of goodies which is the Tee Shirt for the Cats against Clay Take a look;
The clay litter is really bad for the cats. There are lots of other kinds of litter out there. A couple of them are; World's Best Cat Litter which is made from whole kernal corn but I have heard that this can go moldy. I do NOT know that for a fact.
There is also Swheat Scoup Wheat Litter. The biggest complaint about this one is that sometimes it sticks to the bottom or sides of the box, but simply spraying the sides and the bottom of the box with vegetable spray helps to fix that problem.
There is Feline Pine which is pellets and is dust free. This is non-tracking and flushable but I don't think I would flush it. It would probably stop up my system for sure. Some cats including the ones that live here do not like this litter but also we don't use a lot of litter here because everyone goes outside a lot. There are many more litters that you can research. You just have to get what suits your kitties and your household. But I really believe that it is better not to use the clay litter.
What do you use as far as litter goes?
Thanks so much Romeo for the wonderful box of goodies. There was even a toy for the doggies.

We use Feline Pine clumping, and Harley and I both love it. It is not very expensive, it's lightweight and it lasts a pretty long time.
That's a pretty cool package you got, I like that t-shirt
Have a purrfect day. Bug hug to Marg. :)
We use clumping clay right now...we've had some whizzing issues and Mommy would like to switch but now's not a good time.
Happy Wednesday!!
Nico & JayJay :)
We use Feline Fresh which is also made out of pine. We haven't been using clay in years because Deli used to get congested a lot.
We use World's Best Cat Litter for all 5 cats now. LOVE IT! It is easy to scoop and easy to dispose of. We are on a septic system and I am able to flush this litter. Since we are only allowed one bag of garbage per week and there are 5 people living in the house, it's not feasible to put cat litter in the garbage bag.
Before we made the swap (when we were still using clay) we were making trips to the dump once per month to dispose of the excess garbage we couldn't fit into the big bag of weekly disposal.
If you don't want to do them all at one time, send a couple at a time, but be sure to label the pix with their names. We look forward to getting all their pix.
Purrs from us and hugs from our mama.
We use Dr. Elsey's Ultimate Cat Litter and we like it because it's almost dust free.
We still use clay litter - I haven't found anything else that clumps as well and that my cats will actually use. I've tried Swheat Scoop and World's Best Cat Litter and Amber wouldn't go near it. Maybe now, with Allegra, I'll eventually try something else - I would prefer to use a non-clay based litter. As some other commenters have said, unscented is most definitely a priority - most cats hate scented litters, and I think you're asking for trouble by using it.
Still haven't found the "perfect" litter, but I won't use world's best, not only cause of the mycotoxin issue, but I refuse to support any company that uses Genetically Modified organisms (and Monsanto) I just feel very strongly about the damage these GMO's are causing to the Earth and all life forms.
