A cute story, little kittens

My neighbor has a female cat that is a feral cat and very wild. I don’t think there is any way I could catch her. The neighbors don’t feed her so I have fed her for a little over a year now, and have taken care of her last two litters of kittens. She comes to my house twice a day to eat, even comes up on my porch looking for me when she is hungry. And I can get very close to her, but if I touch her, she is off and running. So she has become quite a good friend of mine as long as I don’t try to catch her in any way. Two months ago, I saw a Tom cat hanging around her, so I figured she would be pregnant again. And sure enough, she began to get very large. So on April 8th, she came to eat and she was huge. On April 9th, she had lost a lot of weight, so I was sure she had had the kittens. And I watched where she went, and she had had them over in the neighbor’s barn, all hidden away. I tried to find them, but there was not any way I was going to do that. She had them hidden very well. So I waited a month, and today I decided that it was time to see if the kittens were still alive, how many there were and if they were ready to start eating. So I went over there with a can of food and a huge dish, hoping to find the kittens. I did find the Momma near the barn, so I hung out in the barn for a long time. She stayed with me, meowing and watching me. Pretty soon she jumped up on some boards, and darned if she didn’t bring them out to see me. I couldn’t believe it. She just meowed at them and they followed her out. They are so cute. I really believe as wild as she is that she wanted me to meet the kids. This may sound stupid, but it was really great that she at least trusted me enough to let me see them. These are a couple of pictures of the kittens and they are certainly up for wonderful homes. I cannot keep them all.

I hope that these kittens have found a good home.
