Black and the blueberries.

Hi there, I bet you can't find me in this bush. My name is Black and sometimes it is really hard to see me. I love helping Mom take care of this blueberry bush. She waters it with a hose and that is tons of fun to watch.  I just can't figure out how that water comes out of that long snake.

Oh good, Mom finally took a picture where you can see me. I thought I was pretty well hidden. I am giving her that look.  Like why do you have to do this photo taking.  I have a secret to tell you, there are tons of grasshoppers here too and I just have to control them so they don't eat the blueberries.  I am such a big help.

And now Mom needs to do her job and pick these blueberries. I need to get on her case.

Here are a couple of little sayings.

To err as human means you're fumin'To err as cat means, I meant that

There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast.

Wonderful pics! You are lucky to have a wonderful blueberry bush where the grasshoppers like to hang out. Mummy once thought she wanted to get some chickens to eat all the garden grubs etc. But who needs one of those when you have 4 kitties, right? mawhawhaw!

Guarding the blueberries is a very important task and controlling the grasshoppers is another one - we hope you get scritches and belly rubs for your trouble.

The first shot it was pretty hard to find you. If you didn't know you were in there you probably wouldn't have seen you. Knowing to look for you helped me find you. You are such a big help to mom. That's a good thing. You really do have to keep those grasshoppers in line.

Have a purrfect day Black. Big hug to your mom. :)

Hi Black! You were VERY well hidden in the blueberry bushes!

Our human remembers picking blueberries years and years ago when she was a child in the wilds of Quebec. But the blueberries weren't ripe until very late summer or into the fall there. She used to sit there and stuff her face, wonder if she was eating blueberries that a bear had peed on. ;-D

Hi Black - you are good at hiding in the blueberries! We bet that makes it easier for you to catch the grasshoppers! We love the picture of you hiding (but where we can see you!)

And we think that those sayings are very cute - we will have to remember them!

I planted a blueberry bush a few months ago. No fruit this year :-( Love the saying: "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast" :-)

Hi Black! Guess what? We have some things in common. One - I am really hard to see sometimes too cuz of my brindle furs. And two - I'm a Most Excellent grasshopper hunter, too! Maybe we're related.

Mayzie
