I was so Norty.

Hi there my name is Khaki and as usual I have been very norty.  Guess you can see my dirty paws in the picture. We have what they call red clay here and I just went outside and ran throught the dew on the grass and then ran through some red clay afterwards. Then I thought it would be great fun to come in the house and track it everywhere in there too. Red clay is extremely hard to get off anything. The donkeys love to roll in it and they stay red most of the time and they are supposed to be gray.

Mom tried to clean it off but that just made it worse. Can you see all the spots I left on the floor??? Mom was not pleased but she didn't say any norty words,  thank heavens.  I really was a huge mess.  She ended up just putting me outside again. Later when I came back, I was all clean. That was a hard job getting those paws all clean.

TIDBIT

Another little tidbit from Catster that  Mom hasn't tried yet to see if it works. If you have two cats that are pestering each other, put a dab of vanila on each of their heads so that they smell just alike.  Sounds like it might just make them stay away from each other. Mom will have to try that.

Those paws are a lovely reddy shade - hope your tongue didn't get too red getting it of your paws.

Whoa, you got seriously dirty! But we bet you had fun getting that way. MOL. Our PA feels for your mom, though, 'cause we're always dragging in dirt and mulch from the little back space, and getting wet and dirty paws all over everything. But what else would our PA do with her time but clean up after us?

P.S. Nicki doesn't have a white ring around his tail, that was a splotch of sunlight in today's photo. :-)

We can understand the red clay problems, as we have caliche here. You are a handsome fella, Khaki.

You look like Paprika Kitty!

(Interesting about the vanilla. Although I don't know if it's a good idea that my kittehs smell like cookies. It'd make me hungry!)

I've heard about the red clay that's next to impossible to remove. I'm sorry that mom isn't happy with you, but you have to admit that it's lots of extra work for mom.

Have a purrfect day. Big hug to Marg. :)

Oh Khaki you silly sweet thing!! Well that was silly wasn't it?!! Awww your poor Mum Marge had to clean you and her floors up! So glad to hear you're all clean again though! You look so cute it's like butter wouldn't melt in your cute kitty mouth! Take care x

See, your human just needed to let you clean yourself up! Like I always say, you can't depend on a creature that needs a washcloth to wash itself to get anything clean.

My human has tried the vanilla thing here with me and Boodie when Boodie went to the vet, but it didn't work that well. What worked better was rubbing us both with catnip.

They kinda match...but I see those light colored floors...so no wonder mom was mad, huh? Hopefully you didn't get on the couch... :)

It is not da kitties fawlt when da dirt sticks to us, we can't help it. Dad yells a lot about da mess we make (actually, dad just yells alot) when we play in da house plants den get da muddy all over da carpet. We don't know why, he don't clean it up mom does and she hardly effur yells.

if you got that dirty it has to mean that you had a very good time. Glad to hear that mom didn't say any norty words. I bet she'll even forgive you for making red spots on the floor.
Cool tip about vanilla on their heads.

Well, little red kitty prints on everything could just be a decorative touch...
When we had our doggie we called rainy weather "muddy paw weather"
Great gobs of mud on massively floofy doggie with plume tail, sometimes the tail (which swished everything including the kitchen table) would be all muddy too. sigh. Doggie loved mudbath, mommy, not so much.

Oh, Khaki! At least your red feets kinda go with the rest of you!! Too bad they didn't match the floor!

You sure did get muddy but we bet the floor cleaned up as well as your paws did after awhile. It was probably a lot of fun playing in the dew and then the clay though!

Did kitty get his (her?) paws clean? By running around some more in the dewy grass? Or licking it all off? - {blech}.

I'm curious to know how the cat got clean again. I guess it's one of those mysterious cat things that happen from time to time.

Khaki,

What pretty "red feets" you have. But you were good to help your mom out by cleaning them up.

Now that little bit of "tidbit" seems like it would be a good idea. Mikey and Billy seem to pester each other so maybe we ought to try the vanilla.

Good thing Khaki is SOOOOO cute! Thanks for the vanilla idea. I will definitely be trying that :)

Good thing you are orange - the red clay doesn's show up so much! Mom puts shells or pine cones in the dirt in the plant pots to keep us out - it works!

Hi Khaki, you are so cute and so mischievous! Are you really feral? Or just kinda? Sorry, am not sure who is feral and who isn't. You did make a mess, however, that's what kittehs do and we moms' really aren't that angry. Besides, you cleaned up 'fore you came in gain! What a good kitty cat! My Shadow and Boo and Callie Girl jus' wanted to say hi to you. Much love and lots of purrs.
