Magnolia Monday

Hi there Magnolia here,  I am the feral kitty that Mom caught on Thurs. I am doing a tiny bit better but still hissing at her. My belleh is pretty swollen but I guess that is to be expected. Thank COD I have this little cave to hide in when she comes in the room. But I do come out when she brings food in here. And tonight, she did  touch me four times and I only hissed at her twice.

See, I even came out this afternoon and laid down so I must be feeling a little more comfy. I am still sad and meow a lot but hopefully soon I can make friends with some of the other cats here.  I have heard that Little Bit is very nice. Anyway, I just wanted to give you an update.

Wishing everyone a really good week

It may take time, but I'm sure you will stop hissing to your mom so soon. she is the best lady and she does love you

Hi Magnolia! At least you don't have to wear a cone. :-)

We're very glad to see you a bit more comfortable and hope that you soon come to realize the advantages of having a human servant--the endless supply of food, clean litter, toys, scritches when you want them and peace and quiet when you don't.

What a pleasure it is to meet you Magnolia. Once you are at Marge's house for awhile, you will soon considered yourself the luckies kitty in the world to have found her. You couldn't have a better home - anywhere - well, except maybe mine. he he - have to keep my typist hpapy and say nice things now and then.

Maggie, you're a gorgeous girl (and you've got a lovely name!). Bless that Marg for saving you even though it meant doing some horrible stuff to you at first. From now on it will just get better and better and better... you're a very lucky girl!
Hugs to you and your new brothers and sisters

Oh Marg, I really and truly feel with you! Poor girl and poor kittens - I know those horrible contradictions. How old are the kittens? At least if they're fed they'll grow strong and it might be a bit easier to establish a bit of contact. I knéw I had to bring Rufus home as I kept having to travel across the island everyday to feed him and I simply couldn't get my mind off him. I wish I was there to help you Marg - it can feel like such a great and very lonely task sometimes! At the moment we have our great "escape artist" when it comes to being spayed (mother to Tiny, Ninja and Twinkle) hanging around our house all day long. I know for a fact that she has a litter of 5 week old kittens in a nearby field (too vast for me to even search) and it seems she's just gotten fed up with feeding them (she's constantly had kittens for an entire year now!). I keep telling her to at least bring them around because otherwise they will for sure perish soon. It's a tricky business when kittens are involved!

You are a very brave kitty. It is hard work to get use to peoples when you've been feral. I've been rescued for over a year and I'm still getting used to it! You'll do fine!

Marg is morning here and you've been in my thoughts and prayers all night. Of course it's not desirable, but I know from the endless string of kittens that gets delivered at the vet here that 4-5 week old kittens indeed can make it (with food). I do hope and pray you'll find a solution because the extra work with going to feed them 3 times a day is not a desirable solution either. I once caugth one of our rescue kittens by playing a recorded sound of a kitty mom calling her kittens (recorded from Youtube). She instantly responded and I caught her, but it's risky if you don't know how many kittens there are. It's no good if any is left behind alone. Please will you let me know what happens. Praying for a positive outcome.

We are so glad that Marg was able to help you out Magnolia. We will send big purrs your way that your tummy will feel better ASAP and that you will feel more at peace in your new surroundings.
