One more Scafflaw

It was such a nice cool morning yesterday, our Mom was so excited about going outside to read her book for a few minutes. Since it was so cool, we were wild too.

So she gets up to take a picture of someone, and we grab her chair and are thinking about readying the book too. This is a big 'no no' since she loves her books. Khaki is helping too and Ande is snooooopervising. All we wanted to do is read the book too, so what is wrong with that.

I didn't do that and Khaki says he didn't do it either. I am way over here. Splitters is back there, so she didn't do it either. Just because I am in the chair doesn't mean I did it. Mom even said some naughty words. Bad girl. Ande just says, what is the big deal. I am just taking over this chair. She needs to find another chair.

And there is the evidence. But why can't she just sit on the grass and read. What is her problem.

I'm with Fuzzy Tales! If your mom wanted the chair so bad, why'd she get up in the first place? Finders, keepers! Plus, it's fun to lay in the grass so you were really just doing her a favor. Let her know that she could also nibble on some while she's down there. That's what I like to do.

We think the rule that was broken was by your mom when she got up since everyone knows finders keepers and you found the chair fair and square after she got up. The book must have jumped off the chair by itself too.

We agree that none of you are to blame. We have our own rule here in our house: "you snooze, you lose"! So if our mom gets up from her chair, well, it's fair game, we say - if she sets her book down an we want to read it, well...?

We have learned that humans are very particular about their reading materials. They don't like their newspapers laid on when they are trying to read them and they don't like it when we pull their placeholders out of their books. But y'know what?? Just because they don't like it, It doesn't stop us from doing it!!
