Squeeky gets an early Christmas present

Squeeky is 19 years old and not very fat. So she gets a little chilly sometimes on a cold day. We do have heat in the house but she still gets cold.

So I was traveling around on the internet reading blogs and on the blog ‘Way of Cats’
http://www.wayofcats.com/blog which is an excellent blog, there was a comment about a self warming Thermal cat Cushion. So I ordered it and Squeeky hasn’t been this happy in a long time. The only time she gets off the bed is to go to the potty or have something to eat. It really is a great thing and it must keep her warm. It isn’t all that expensive, and it is washable.

I was so excited to find something for her. I had made beds for her all over the bedroom and she would use them but not for long. And she has been on this thermal cushion for 3 days now. You can order this cushion at Amazon. I am not selling them, but I should. I am sure you can find them other places too.

Had anyone else tried these thermal mats???

Wow, that looks great! I could use one of those too, as I'm also a slender kitty (although not up there in years like Squeeky - I can only hope to live that long!).

What a great find. I've not heard about this blanket before today. What a great find.

Have a terrific day and a very Merry Christmas. :)

I'm so glad Squeeky feels warm and cozy on her thermal mat. We have a heated cat cup, but we almost never use it! But when we do use it, we LOVE it. Then we forget about it!

We read your comment on the CB. Since the goat barn is flooded, we're glad you are all okay.

We're glad that Squeeky loves her new warm bed! We haven't heard of a thermal cat bed before but it sounds really nice. We'll have our mommy check it out!

What a terrific idea - I would imagine that senior cats, like senior people, are more apt to feet the cold than the rest of us. Glad you finally found Squeaky her very own warm fuzzy :o)

Wow 19 years young and still look so healthy, that is great Marg! Hmmmmm I would love to try the thermal pillow but I think my kids won't like them since the weather here is almost always hot, hot HOT! :)

I've never tried a pillow like that but I don't think I need one because I'm always hot because of my fur. My humans ussualy cover me with a blankie but I always get out from under it. They can't see I'm a hot cat. Just because they feel cold doesn't mean I do.

PS: I think there's something wrong with your layout, your posts are appearing on the sidebar. I'm using IE8.

Wow Marg what a great gift for Squeeky, boy that isn't a bad idea to get one for me and my old bones :-)

Sorry I have been absent the past couple of days. Boy this time of year doesn't allow you much free time huh? But I wanted to make sure I stopped by and let you know I am still alive and missed reading your blog.

Say hello to all the "kids" and give them all a big hug for me, would ya?

Just in case the next few days stay just a busy I want to wish you and yours a very Wonderful Holiday and may you all get everything you want on your list, that hopefully you checked twice. Ho ho Ho

These thermal cushions are wonderful! I ordered a pair for a stray cat we are helping who sleeps in our garage. I had made him a sleeping bag of sorts but it always felt cold to the touch. These cushions seem to repel the cold and always feel comfortable even when the cat isn't on them and the temps are in the teens. Plus I believe they're anti-michrobial so they repel fleas etc. I agree, well worth the little cost of them.

What a very neat blankie!!! At 19 Squeeky should be surrounded by luxury and heat is where it's at!!

Nice idea. Our V-8 was 19, but died this fall. I don't know if she would have stayed on one though. Her big thing was finding new places to hide every week or so.
