This is Mewmew who arrived at my house right after my last chemo treatment and she was a tiny little very hairy kitten that was so little, that she could fit through our chain link fence. She was very feral and she had come flying  through the yard and stopped at the little storage building right outside the fence and started screaming.

So I slowly went over there and started talking to her in meow talk. Well she sat there and listened to me. So I went to the house and got her some food and of course she wouldn't let me anywhere near her, so I put the plate down and walked away and she ate. We had many more conversations that day and it was all a miracle to me, because I was so down the night before, that I thought if I could just get a kitten, it would cheer me up. And then here came MewMew.  I was truly dumbfounded.

It took a couple of months, but I finally got to pat her and she is one of my best friends.  If  I sit outside, she comes and sits with me every time. But she does not like being shut up in the house. And she does not like to be picked up so it is really hard to get her to the vet. But she is very special to me even if she is a little cranky. And as you can see, she grew up to be big and pretty.

This is a little game that is kind of fun. Our good friends at the home of

Baby Patches

passed this on to us. What you have to do is open up your first photo folder, take the 10th photo and post it on your blog, and tell the story behind the photo. Then you have to pick 5 bloggers that you think might enjoy doing this and tag them. If you have already done this, I am sorry and just ignore this invite.

And these are the five blogs that  I thought might enjoy this little game.

Brians Home

Everyday Adventure

Perfectly Parker

Kitty Kitty

Lorenza

So have a good time with this. Can't wait to see what your photo story will be.

Oh, she's lovely! And what a gift, that she came into your life at such a difficult time.

We were tagged this week, too, twice (lol), so I must get around to posting! It's actually quite fun to see everyone's photo and read the story behind it. :-)

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your chemo - I do hope it's all over and finished with and you are ok. I'm so glad Mewmew entered your life at this same time too. She really was sent to help you through that awful time. And you are so right, she has grown to be not only bigger but more beautiful! Take care x

Be careful what you ask for! But I'd ask for MewMew any day! She's a little angel come to take your mind off of your chemo. She reminds me of my Sophie who I found hanging out at a drive-through ATM in the middle of nowhere because she was mewing mewing so loudly I heard her over my car engine and radio. I'll tell her story some day, but she was a joy to me for 16 years, and as a friend said was "like petting a cloud".

I won't do the photo thing--too many photos, no idea which is the first folder!

Great story about the cat. One of my favorite cats that I had was also feral. It was a black cat that I purposely unimaginatively named Blacky. I was the only one that could touch him. He managed to bite every other person that came into my house.

I like the idea of this game. I've played similar versions before, but I don't think I've ever done my tenth picture. I'll try to do my version some time next week, because I have another little personal event that would fit perfect with something like this.

What a wonderful story. I know that my kitty, Peanut who passed away at age 20 was always there for me while I went through chemo. I think I was like a heating pad for her with my fever. We would touch heads and she somehow would help my headache go away. She would calm me so much! I love it that this little angel has entered you life while you are not feeling well and will always be a great bud to you!

Many of my animals have come to me at moments of need for me. The Gods seem to know when I most need help and an animal appears. It seems they watch over you and Mewmew as well.

It's wonderful that MewMew was brought into your life at the exact time you were ready for her. And, she was very lucky to find a home where she could be loved and accepted even though it would take extra patience to gain her trust. What a sweet story!

Your lovely story of Mewmew is a great example of Cat Instinct. Mewmew instinctively knew you needed a kitty in your life, so even though she was feral, she responded to you.

I love this photo tag game! And funny enough, I picked Baby Patches, who picked you.

awww what a beautiful story. :) When I was little I always followed stray/feral cats around and tried to feed them if i could. I saw a stray kitten one time and I wanted to bring him home but I could not do that with my apartment so I went back to get some food for the little one. He was so affectionate, nuzzling my leg with his face. I gave him some food. He was happy gobbling up all the noms in just a few bites. He then left and never came back :(. I miss him.

Very nice story...I especially liked the part where you talked to her in meow talk...Marg do you realize people like us would be considered witches (for talking with animals, especially CATS!!)just about 200 years ago? I talk to mine all the time, they are my best buddies!
