jasmine Jasmine

Well I have talked about the goats, donkeys and cats, and now it is the dogs turn. They certainly deserve some great blog time. Thought you might like to know a little about my dogs since they are a part of this family. And my pet supplies do apply to the dogs mainly. There are two dogs that live here, one is an Australian Shepherd and she is a super dog. I kind of rescued her, because when I went to see the puppies that were for sale, the place where they were born was just horrible. Dirty, full of boards with nails and sharp tin and very dirty. So I just couldn’t leave the puppy there. They guy tried to get me to buy two, but I just didn’t have enough money and felt really bad about not getting the second puppy. So home came Jasmine, the black dog of the two that I have. And she has turned out to be a great dog. Don’t really think she is an Australian Shepherd but who cares. She has a good home here.

The second dog’s name is Ande, named after the town Anderson. She is a girl and most people think that she is a guy cause of her name. Ande is a Border collie and believe me she has all the characteristics of a border collie. They live to have a job to do and she wants to work all day, the silly dog. She is super energetic and if nothing is going on, she will go outside and just run in circles for something to do. I got Ande when I first moved to Anderson, because I wanted to try to meet some people and so attempted to do the sheep herding. Ande and I tried it a couple of times and she just wasn’t interested in being a real herding dog. The sheep herding is a very interesting sport. It is tons of fun to watch. Plus Ande broke her leg, and that didn’t help the herding at all. She now just herds the goats whenever they let her. Sometimes the goats herd her. She even tries to herd the cats. So I have two very energetic dogs and they keep me going. And they are great company and always keep me company where ever I go.

Dogs are my favorite. My best friends have always been my pooch or my tabby cat.

My first dog was a border collie I named Mandy, and I loved her so much. Poor thing passed a few years ago but she lived to a ripe old age of 16 (RIP). Now my golden retriever Bozo and I take turns eating the ice cream in my freezer and terrorizing Choops the cat lol!! Great blog! I've bookmarked it :)

Beautiful border collie. I'm the proud mom of a border collie too. Her name is Browny.
