When are the guests leaving?

Hi there, Jasmine here, I keep looking  out at our field.

We have been waiting and waiting for our two guest horses to leave. They are out in the front field and that is where we go for walks with Mom. She misses the walks too. We can't go out there because one of the horses might try and stomp us and that sure wouldn't be any fun. The donkeys are used to us but they sometimes chase us too.  Mom won't let Ande herd the donkeys cause the kick so badly and also Ande doesn't need to be trying to herd the horses cause they are big and would really hurt her.

Jasmine is an Australian Shepherd and Ande is a Border collie so we both love to go run or if not run, at least walk around and smell all the wonderful smells out there. So we are really looking forward to the guests leaving.

***********************************************

According to ancient Greek literature, when Odysseus arrived home after an absence of 20 years, disguised as a beggar, the only one to recognize him was his aged dog Argos, who wagged his tail at his master, and then died.

An American Animal Hospital Association poll showed that 33 percent of dog owners admit that they talk to their dogs on the phone or leave messages on an answering machine while away.

Oh my goodness, that is FUNNY! I never would have thought about leaving a dog a message on the answering machine. We don't have a phone out in the pasture, but I do talk to our horses all the time (and of course they answer me right back :o)

Hopefully soon you can walk in the front field with mom again.
I admit that I do talk to Duke frequently but I've never called and talked to him on the phone.

How funny. A friend always calls home to "talk" to her dog while we're shopping or at lunch. If I did that there would be pandemonium here. Buddy hates the answering machine and will often being howling when the phone first rings. And he has trained the other two dogs to join him.

Hope your guests leave soon so you can walk the pasture again.

Our Mommy has talked to us on the phone. She is seriously crazy because we NEVER talk back. Daddy has to do the talking for us.

Here's to having the horsies gone! We hope you boys can get into the front pasture soon and run like fools.

I guess those guests have overstayed their welcome! At least as far as you two are concerned! (And maybe the donkeys too.)

Hello Jasmine! Awwww me and Charlie hope you and Ande get to go with your mum for long walks! She is so right about the horses - they are absolutely gorgeous but they are big and powerful and don't take kindly to being herded! :-) Donkeys too! They don't mean to kick anyone they could just get a little cranky sometimes. We like the Odysseus story - sad but shows just how loyal and wonderful doggies can be! And I love that survey of how people leave messages for their doggies - awwwww! take care x

We hope you get your field back soon so you can go in it with your mom! Those horses are just too big for you two to be in there messing with. Hope you have a good weekend!

Found your blog through the blog hop:

We're waiting for unwanted guests to leave too! Except not horses, cousins ;)

I loveee donkeys. I think they're adorable. Layla loves horses, but she's never had the opportunity to run loose with them.

Hope you get your field back soon!
