Goat soap giveaway

Hi there, Pricilla here. I have my own blog Pricilla Speaks where you can see all kinds of pictures of me and all my grandchildren. It is such a fun blog.

Anyway, Marg is  having a give  away of some of the soap that is made here on our Happy Goat farm so we thought we would tell you a little about how it is made. First of all us lady goats get milked. Then our Mom who is called the Publicist, freezes the milk she is going to use for soap. When it is time to make the soap, she gets the frozen milk out and thaws it a little bit.

After the milk becomes a little slushy, she adds the lye. This makes the mild turn a really weird yello/green color.  By the time it is ready to use, it has turned orange and looks like a blob.

Then she measures out her super secret recipe of fats and oils and puts them in her big soap pot and melts them.

Then she adds the milk/lye blog and mixes it with her stick blender until it gets nic and smooth.

This is called 'trace' at which point it is time to strain it and add the fragrance oil and pour it into the molds.

The molds will rest over night and then the publiscist will pop the soaps out of the molds and let them cure for a month.

They have all kinds of scents and shapes now.

So, we are giving away three bars of soap made from goat's milk. This soap is terrific. Our Mom, Marg has used it and some of her friends really like it.

So leave a comment here on Marg's blog , and we will use the random picker to pick out a winner early on Tues. morning and put it on the blog on Tuesday morning. Also if you would go to Pricilla Speaks if you look at the sidebar, you can choose which shape of soap you would like to have. There is a slide show of all the different soaps. Also, we are going to have to keep this in the U.S unless you want to pay the shipping.

Look at this silly goat. They do have a good time.

Don't forget to leave a comment so you can win some soap.

Have a great day.

How exciting about your soap! I think I shall insist that you be featured at my product site for cat bloggers--but you are a goat owned by a cat so that's all good. Hopefully the Woman can hold that thought in her head long enough to get finish reading blogs, have tea and then write. She had some other news she wanted to feature but forgot who/what it was... Sigh.

Pricilla all of your soap looks very cool and all of those designs they are purrfect. My Mom likes goat soap because she has a skin condition that reacts badly to normal soap. So we want to be entered in the contest.

Ooooo...I think it's super neat that you can get soap from your milk! Wow...goats are super-talented.

But, uh, before I enter this contest, I just want to make sure that this is soap for HUMANS, right? Not doggies. Humans. Cuz I ONLY want to enter if it's soap for humans.

Thanks for holding this contest! (As long as it's soap for humans.)

Wiggles & Wags,
mayzie

I absolutely LOVE Patty's soap that she makes from the milk at Happy Goat's Farm!!! I'm addicted to the stuff--which reminds me I need to place an order.

I think her goat's milk soaps are wonderful because her goats are so happy. :) It must be something about flying that makes the milk so good.
