Goats, goats and more goats

Hi there, my name is Mishak. I am one of three goats that live here and we love to drive our staff nuts. I am a Nigerian dwarf goat and I am definitely the best goat here. I will let the other two goats tell their own story.
Nigerian dwarf goats are fairly small. We are usually 19” to 20”. The main colors of our breed are black, chocolate, and gold. I am a black and white one and I am really pretty.
I am very gentle and very lovable. I just love for people to scratch me and I will stand for hours while someone pays attention to me. Of course one reason I am so tame is because when I was only a day or two old, I was taken away from my mother and fed on a bottle. The reason for this is so that the mother can be milked for that wonderful goat milk.
Also they neutered me and took off my horns when I was very young. This makes me into an even better goat but I sure miss my horns because they make a great tool for scratching my body. Plus they are useful for fighting. But who needs to fight. We just head butt each other and that is great fun.
Our staff bought us when we were about 9 months old. And by that time I was very friendly. I do love to eat and I try to steal the other goats food and also love to steal the donkeys food. My staff just doesn’t feed me enough even though I am rather on the fat side.
And one of our favorite things to do is to eat the persimmons off the big tree that is in our pasture. It is a race every morning down to the tree to see how many have fallen off. Mom worried that they weren’t good for us but we have been eating them for years and so far we have been all right. And an old geezer told Mom, that they actually kill the worms that we have. So that is good.
So that is my story at the moment.

There was one little guy who was by far the funniest, he would always get lose and loved to play. I played with him for an hour. His favorite thing to do was to get about 10 feet away and come running full speed ahead into me and butt me with is little head. HE WAS ADORABLE and how I wanted to take him home with me.
My house you see is a zoo and one more would have been fine, cept my wife would have killed me. :-)
You have a fantastic blog here and this is my first visit. You can be sure I will be back. Glenn
