LIVESTRONG

Today is Livestrong day so we can all remember to give all the support we can to cancer and its research. We really want to raise awareness of cancer and to honor all those that have lost the battle with cancer which is so sad. And we really want to encourage the people that are still fighting the disease. It is a long an hard battle. We can only hope that most win the battle.

Even a world without some cancer would be great. So more research is needed and we just all need to be aware of that. The more research we get done, the sooner we can keep the darn cancer away.  We can only hope that fewer and fewer people get the disease.

Hi there, Khaki and Spitters here and we are really wishing for more research on cancer in kitties. There hasn't been much done and we want to try to encouage everyone to help to raise funds for cancer. Some of our good friends on the cat blogosphere have lost the battle to cancer and it has been so sad. We are remembering all of them today too.

Anyway, let us all Live Strong, not just today but every day. Encourage the ones that are still fighting the disease and remember the ones we have lost.

Excellent post. There was some recent research out of the University of Ottawa, we believe, wherein cancer patients were injected with a virus (we think, we'd have to look it up). The virus attacked and killed the cancer cells in most patients, regardless of the type of cancer. It sounded very promising, so we have our paws crossed for more research along this line!

Lovely post! Yes, it's so sad that so many have lost to this disease or are currently courageously fighting it.

What a great and meaningful post as usual Marg. I[ve missed visiting your blog and truly don't know anyone that does more for animals than you do. I bid on one of your auctions and plan to again. That is such a great idea. Let me know if I win. Take care!!!

When we lost Sniffie, Mom tried to find a place to donate to that did Feline Cancer research. The best she could come up with was the Winn Foundation. They do all kinds of research and cancer is only one part. We sure wish there was more feline research.

We purr and pray for a world without cancer. Too many of our friends have left us because of this horrible disease. LiveStrong Every Day!!!

I'm of 2 minds about research. The more money the government gives them for research, the longer it takes. What is the incentive to find a cure if you knew your money would stop? There may be a cure out there that no one knows about because they don't want the funding stopped. TW's old boss ran an article about a wonder drug that the FDA wouldn't approve that was as close to a cure as we've gotten so far but no one could buy it. Sorry, I'm just a conspiracy theorist. Love you, Ms Marg.
