Mrs. Pond comes around once or twice a year and we miss her a lot when she isn't here. She mainly comes during the winter and it is fun to have her here. So last Friday it rained and rained and rained some more, and Mrs. Pond made an appearance.

It is too bad it isn't all nice and green around Mrs.Pond. But that is all right, we are just hoping that Mr. and Mrs. duck come to visit. One year they came to visit and had little bitty baby duckies. That was fun watching them all swim around. Not to worry, the photographer will get pictures if they show up.

The dogs used to go for a dip but it is too cold right now. Ande liked it the best.  So it was great fun to wake up and see Mrs. Pond back again.

Now we have just another reminder about a wonderful cat that really needs a home.

Hi there, my name is Avon. I am a young female and have had my shots and have been spayed. I am in Asheville, N.C. and really need a home.

I was rescued from an abusive home just days before I gave birth to 6 kittens. I arrived at my foster home with my six 3-day-old kittens and I then took on 2 more kittens who had been abandoned. I was a fantastic mother to these eight kittens. I am just over a year old. I am a VERY sweet gal. I love to cuddle. I talk to get your attention - I just love to be the center of attention now that my babies are on their own. Please call my foster mom so you can meet such a precious lady; her number is (828) 778-3011. ps

Please pass this around and tell all your friends.

PS, the new kitty, GW for now is still here and in fact he, not she, is hanging out on our porch. I was patting him yesterday and he has all kinds of wounds all over his body, poor thing. But he doesn't seem to be afraid of anything.  Anyway, I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow and get him tested and then go from there.

Mrs. Pond looks like fun! If baby duckies show up, please take lots of pictures!!

Sweet Avon...I hope she finds a forever home very soon. She looks like a real honey :)

That pond looks cool, we have a lake but the stupid people got a permit to kill the geese. Sad. Why would anyone move into a lake community if you hate wildlife?

We're all purring for that sweet Avon.

what a precious face Avon has - I sure hope the right person sees her and gives her a forever home. The poor girl sounds like she had a rough start in life and deserves much better.

The pond is way cool. I do hope the ducks show up. Gives all the critters something to watch, and stalk, and hunt.

What a precious kitty Avon. I hope she finds a forever home and they treat her like a queen.

GW is a boy. Forget all those girl names I gave you.

Have a purrfect day. Big hug to Marg. :)

Aww, Avon. What a sweet girl you are. I sure hope you find your forever home very soon.

That's a really neat pond and that would be super terrific if some ducks came to visit. I likes ducks.

Okay, I'm gonna stay with "G" names: George, Gus, Giblet, Garth, Gill, or Grover!

mayzie

Well how nice to see Mrs Pond. We had a member of the Pond visit us a few times but we weren't really thrilled with their appearance as they tried to come in through our basement and we weren't prepared for guests :)

Good luck, Avon!

I sure hope that kitty was neutered. If not, he has the right to be very offended!

We hope the ducks come back and visit Mrs Pond again. There is a pond by our bottom field and two geese build their nest there every year.
